Lunch and Learn Training Session

Training events will be offered to provide members with Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits, essential for maintaining CDFM and DoD FM certifications!  These events consist of viewing National PDI content and workshops are typically held from 1100 to 1230 at participating organizations in the Land of Lincoln Chapter.  Lunch is provided by the Chapter at a minimal cost to members. RSVP with your org VP if you are interested in attending one of the below training opportunities.


First session took place on 24 July 2019.

Our guest instructor was Mr. Matthew McConkey and he taught the fundamentals of Microsoft Excel. It was a huge hit!


Next Lunch and Learn set for 11 February 2020. We will be having 4Lens training from 1100 - 1300 at the 932d Auditorium.

Pizza will be served and the cost is $3 to enter.

Call for 2020 Individual and Team Achievement Award Nominations


The American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) annually recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of its chapters, membership, and the defense financial management community through its awards program. This program encompasses individual and team achievement awards, scholarships, educational grants, an essay contest, chapter recognition, and a variety of other individual based awards.  The ASMC individual and team achievement awards are presented annually to individuals and teams who have been nominated for outstanding accomplishment within one of the functional fields of comptrollership:

Land of Lincoln Chapter winners will be recognized at the Regional Professional Development Institute on Tuesday, 3 March 2020.  In addition, the Chapter winners will be submitted to compete at the national level.  National winners will be recognized at PDI in Nashville, May 2020. The 2020 Individual and Team Achievement Nomination Templates are attached as well as the "How to Write Winning Awards" guide.

Nominations must be emailed to Mr. Robert Cherry, Awards Committee Chair, at 2020 nominations will need to be submitted in 22 January 2020.

We got some great news! The EDFMTC course is coming to Scott AFB from 23 - 27 March 2020.

The Enhanced Defense Financial Management Training Course (EDFMTC) is a 5-day, 40-hour, intensive financial management review course delivered in a classroom setting. The material covered is presented in 3 sections that correspond to the CDFM exam modules and knowledge areas:
