Professional Development Session (October 2019)
The next Professional Development Session (PDS) will be held on 21 October 2019 (1100 - 1300) at Scott Event Center. Our speaker will be MG Deborah L. Kotulich, Chief of Staff, United States Transportaton Command.
Lunch and Learn Training Session
FREE training events will be offered to provide members with Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits, essential for maintaining CDFM and DoD FM certifications! These events consist of viewing National PDI content and workshops are typically held from 1100 to 1230 at participating organizations in the Land of Lincoln Chapter. Lunch is provided by the Chapter at no cost to members. RSVP with your org VP if you are interested in attending one of the below training opportunities.
First session took place on 24 July 2019.
Our guest instructor was Mr. Matthew McConkey and he taught the fundamentals of Microsoft Excel. It was a huge hit!

Call for 2020 Individual and Team Achievement Award Nominations
The American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) annually recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of its chapters, membership, and the defense financial management community through its awards program. This program encompasses individual and team achievement awards, scholarships, educational grants, an essay contest, chapter recognition, and a variety of other individual based awards. The ASMC individual and team achievement awards are presented annually to individuals and teams who have been nominated for outstanding accomplishment within one of the functional fields of comptrollership:
Land of Lincoln Chapter winners will be recognized at the Regional Professional Development Institute on Tuesday, 12 March 2019. In addition, the Chapter winners will be submitted to compete at the national level. National winners will be recognized at PDI in Nashville, May 2020. For reference, the 2019 Individual and Team Achievement Nomination Templates are attached as well as the "How to Write Winning Awards" guide. Around November/December, the applications will be updated to reflect the 2020. Please stay tuned.
