Continuing Education Scholarships

LOCAL PROGRAM

 

Eligibility

  • Must be a current member of the Land of Lincoln Chapter.

  • Local scholarship competition is open to applicants pursuing any field of study; however, only members pursuing a field of study directly related to finance/resource management (e.g., business administration, economics, accounting, finance, etc.) may be submitted to the National ASMC Scholarship Award Program for consideration.

 

Application

  • Complete the attached form.

  • Two Letters of Recommendation.

    • One letter from your supervisor, organizational manager, or personnel/training officer.

    • One letter from your academic institution official.

    • Letters must be signed and submitted on official letterhead or in an official email.

 

Submission Process

  • Email complete application package to LandofLincolnChapter.ASMC@gmail.com.

  • Deadline for submission is Friday, 22 February 19.  Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted!

 

Selection Process

  • Applicant's involvement in Chapter activities and justification of desired educational outcome will be the key factors in selection.

  • Local selection panel will review all complete applications and will make final selections for:

    • local winners.

    • top candidates for National ASMC Continuing Education Scholarship competition.  This may differ from the list of local winners if a local scholarship winner has not been a member for two consecutive years and/or does not meet the requirement for a business or finance related degree.

 

Notification

  • Winners will be notified in March 2019 via email from Scholarship Committee Chair Mollie Bergmann.

  • Winners will be recognized at the regional Professional Development Institute on Tuesday, 12 March 19.

 

 

NATIONAL PROGRAM
 

Eligibility

  • ASMC member for two full consecutive years immediately prior to the submission due date; member in good standing.

  • Applicant must be entering or currently pursuing a business or resourcement mangement field of study relating to military comptrollership.

  • For Dick Vincent Scholarship, must demonstrate active participation in local chapter.

    • No applicant will be permitted to win this scholarship more than once.

  • No applicant will be selected more than four years.

 

Application

  • Three Letters of Recommendation.

    • One letter from supervisor, organizational manager, or personnel/trainning officer.

    • One letter from an academic institution official (must be on official letterhead or in an official email to be accepted).

  • Application must be submitted on the ASMC Awards Online website.

    • This will be done by the local Land of Lincoln Chapter Scholarship Committee Chair Mollie Bergmann.

 

Selection Process

  • Applicant's justification of desired educational outcome will be the key factor in selection.

  • Selection panel, chaired by the National Awards Committee, will review all complete applications and will make final recommendations to the ASMC National Executive Committee, who will approve final award winners.

 

Notification

  • National ASMC scholarship winners are generally notified in June.
