High School Scholarships

 

 

The 2019 application period is now closed for submissions.  

Eligibility

  • Must be a graduating high school senior in the final half of his/her school year, or a high school graduate within 6 months of the application deadline.

  • The local scholarship competition is open to applicants pursuing any field of study; however, only students entering a field of study directly related to finance/resource management (e.g., business administration, economics, accounting, finance, etc.) may be submitted to the National ASMC Scholarship Award Program for consideration.

 

Application

  • Complete the attached form.

  • Provide list of extra curricular activities using the attached template.

  • An essay of 300 words or less addressing career goals, academic goals, and financial need.

  • An essay of 300 words or less addressing leadership abilities and achievements.

  • Two Letters of Recommendation.

    • One letter from high school principal, academic dean, or guidance counselor.

    • One letter from a high school teacher.

    • Letters must be signed and submitted on official letterhead.

  • Copy of academic transcript signed by either guidance counselor or principal.

  • Documentation of ACT/SAT scores.

  • College acceptance letters for the anticipated college choices listed on the application form.

 

Submission Process

  • Email complete application package to Mollie Bergmann @ mollie.bergmann@us.af.mil.com.

  • Deadline for submission is Friday, 22 February 19.  Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted!

 

Selection Process

  • Applicant's scholastic achievements, leadership ability, extra-curricular activities, career/academic goals, and financial need will be factors considered in the evaluation process.

  • Land of Lincoln Chapter Scholarship Committee will review applications and select winners at the local level.  They will then submit the top two applicants to the ASMC National Awards Committee for national competition.

  • A selection panel, chaired by a member of the ASMC National Awards Committee, will review applications to select National ASMC High School Scholarship award winners.

 

Notification

  • Local Land of Lincoln Chapter winners will be notified in March 2019 via email from Scholarship Committe Chair Mollie Bergmann.

  • National ASMC winners are generally notified in June.
