Who are we?
Penny Pinchers is an informal running club that meets before and after races. Often, running or getting into shape can be an intimidating and daunting idea. Fellow Pinchers (fast or slow, experienced, and brand new) are able to meet before each race to see familiar faces, share well wishes, joke and build camaraderie, stretch, learn, etc. and then work their way to the starting line together.
This is a good place to start if you are looking to get into running and have never really been involved before. This group offers the unique ability to get folks pointed in the right direction for picking up numbered bibs and race packets and answering questions. Post-race Pinchers re-assemble and enjoy recounting the "woulda, shoulda, and couldas" while sharing a carbohydrate-rich snack or drink to refuel.
The below calendar highlights the Penny Pincher's schedule for the new year. If you would like additional information, please contact Mr. Aaron Parker, Health & Wellness Committee Chair, at 618-220-4571 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
